I’ve always loved New Orleans. From the first time I set foot in the Vieux Carre in 1971 until today N’awlins has been my favorite destination. I’ve been there dozens of times over the last 40 years, was married at the Elms Mansion there in 2003, covered numerous sporting events, including the 2000 Sugar Bowl when I had the good fortune of being on the sidelines when the final gun sounded on Florida State’s National Championship victory over Virginia Tech, but no matter how many times I go back I always enjoy the visit to the Big Easy.
